We are Walid Anis Khayrallah and Saera John Yacoub. We have come to Canada in 1973 where Walid completed his Ph.D in Plant breeding and genetics, and Saera has become the first woman entreprneur to make fantastic Lebanese Baklawa and pastries. Walid works as a part time consultant in agro-industrial development and Saera in pastry making and distribution. The name of the business is Noisettine Pastry and the products are distributed in many eastern sea-board states under the same name. We recently made a web site to test the market for e-commerce. I am the daughter of Micheal Nakhleh alKhoury (Ibn Zbaideh elHawie) and Aida Daher Matar alRihbani. I have been living bilGhorbeh for 19 years. I have a wonderfull 16 year old daughter and is divorced. I work in the Health Care Field. I was one of the lucky ones who got to go to Shweir on the Beach and to tell the truth, that was the best thing I have done in many many years. It made me realize how fortunate I am to have such good friends, and it is also good to know, that the mold that we are made of is unique strong and in a way eternal. It seems that cross all generations, we all share the pride, the aspirations, and the talent to excell in all we do, and to be a notch above the rest. Taheyatti to all the great sons of life, I am the daughter of George and Georgette Rustom Moujaes. I am so proud of Shweir on line.I am so thankful for Anwar Khenicer and all those who contributed to the setting of this honorable web site. I am 40 years of age, I have a B.S and a Masters in Computer science. I am currently the director of the Product Design team for a company called Ceon. I have designed a Telephony Software product that manages complex Centrex services, this product is currently deployed in many Telephone Companies all over the world. I am married to an Irish gentleman named John Archbold, he is dying to get our citizenship, he loves Shweir and has been there twice already. I have two boys Bernard 9 years old and George 4 years old. My oldest son Bernard got the highest grade in Mathematics and Problem solving in the Sat test for the third grade in the whole United States. I am so proud of my identity and my culture.I am very proud of Shweir and all the historical contributions that this town has provided to history and to the world. I must say first that Anwar, you are wonderful. It was such a pleasure to meet you at 'Shweir at the Beach'. Without you, all that we are experiencing in through this web sight would not have been possible. Shweir has a treasure in you and in all the other individuals that made this a reality. On another subject, I just finnished reading a book by Edward W. Said, a very prominent college professor at Columbia University. Couple of the chapters deal with his memoires in Shweir. Although as a child he did not care for the place much, he brought out some distant memories. I think that some of you may enjoy it. The title is 'Out of Place'.
