Miss Tina Hage

Miss Emigrants 2004

The party of Miss Emigrants 2004 elections was held on Saturday 7/8/2004 at the New Central Hotel, Dhour el Shweir.

Hotel Central main hall was full to capacity with people from Shweir, Lebanon and the world to witness many young ladies competing for one crown.

The first appearance of the ten competing girls on the stage was in bikinis.  The second was in Nightgowns. The third was private interviews for each girl where the girl picks up a piece of paper on which the name of one judge was written who would ask her one question to be answered. It’s worthy to note here that one of the questions asked was about the distinguishing features of Dhour el Shweir. Another question was about the qualities of the knight whom the girl dreams of. A third question was about what would be the first thing to be done in case the girl won the competition and one question about self assessment.

The questions asked were intended to test their intelligence, ability to express one’s self and style.

Singer Mayez al Bayaa enchanted the audience with his songs.

The critical and crucial moments for the emergence of the solemn results were due and each one returned to his assigned place, the girls standing on the stage for the last time to hear the results announced.

The speaker of the party Grace Baaklini announced Sabine Samaha as miss Elegance,

Donna Maria Feghali as miss Photogenic, Rita Sleiman as second Maid, Rima Rayess

as first Maid and last but top Tina Hage as Miss Emigrants 2004.

Good night.

It took a while to get the name but, here we are with another beautiful Young Lady joining our two Queens Rima and Miriam. Miriam, you look so great, I heard that you have helped in the festival a lot this year.... Thank you so much

Welcome Tina and hopefully we'll hear from you soon. Did we get the last name right? Is it pronounced Hajj (a prominent Lebanese Name)?
I heard that you are a Californian... But California is a big state so where do you live and where do you go to school / college etc... We are very interested to know more about you.

Miriam will be returning on the 21st and hopefully she'll fill us in on all the details about the pageant and maybe a comparison between last year and this year. Did the pageant improve, if not then we to start planning how to improve it.

Now that we have two Californians in three years, Is Next year's Texas Turn again

Tina is a wonderful new Miss for shweir. She is not only beatiful on the outside but she is also beautiful on the inside. I had a chance to speak with her a couple of times before the pageant and she is very sweet. I think she said she is from orange county, California. And, yes George next year is Texas's turn again. Tina will be a senior in high school this year. I wish all of you were here to enjoy the festival. Well, we look forward to next year's festival!
