Hello Miriam, Rima & Tina, our
wonderful Queens and your families,
It was so wonderful to see the three of you bonding and having so much fun
in San Francisco. You brought such youthfulness and energy and
excitement with you. It was a great pleasure to meet Tina's mom, Abeer and her 10 year young
brother Chad. Yes, it was Chad's Birthday the nite of the Banquet and
he was surprised with two cakes. Also it was wonderful to see Miriam's mom, Siham
(Sue) again and to see Rima's family again.
We miss you already. It was a great pleasure for each of us on the welcoming
committee to share some wonderful time with you. I guess the best way to
describe our queens would be to borrow a few words that Miriam wrote after
she met Tina last summer. You described Tina as someone who is not only
beautiful on the outside, but also on the inside. Yes, such beauty was
clearly apparent by the way you made fast friends with each others and all
of those who you met.
And yes, you did energize our young people. Now, I know of two people (and
counting) who are looking forward to participate in the pageant. The LAA
Banquet was a greater success with your participation.

Thank you all for setting a wonderful example for others to follow. You make
us very proud.
Now to Mukhtar, Mukhtara and Nabil and those who missed this great
gathering, we sincerely wished you were here. But, no matter, our queens are
now energized and looking forward to a bigger and even more exciting
encore... in Lebanon, in Texas and even back in California. No matter where
it happens, I am sure we will have lots of fun and spread goodwill.
Thanks to all for your support and participation.
Anwar
